Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary*
BANNEUX- Belgium, In a garden behind the family cottage in Banneux. 8 times between Jan 15 and Mar 2, 1933. Witness: 11 year old peasant girl, Mariette Beco. The message: She called herself the Virgin of the Poor, and has since been venerated as Our Lady of the Poor, the Sick, and the Indifferent. Approval: Approval of devotion to Our Lady of Banneux given 1949 by Bishop Louis J. Kerkhofs of Liege, and a statue of that title was solemnly crowned in 1956.
