Well our lenten journey for 2011 is nearly at an end. Today begins the Holy Triduum which means 3 days. Today is Maundy Thursday we remember the institution of the Holy Mass today. This is a very beautiful mass for those who are not Catholic or are not currently practicing their faith. The chrism Mass is sometimes observed today as well were the Bishop blesses the oils for the year as well the priest renew their vows of obedience to the Bishop. Maundy Thursday includes the washing of the feet a very holy and humble time in the mass see the priest who is our example of Christ on a personal level lowers himself to wash 12 disciples feet. So make it a point to attend services. Our service is in the evening which I think is perfect to keep our focus on what we are remembering. Jesus comes to us through his Body, Blood, Soul, and divinity.
I still remember my first Holy Week it was a time of newness and renewal. I will always keep that close to my heart
